Meet Brooke

Licensed Addiction Counselor

Brooke believes lasting change comes from within, and her role is to give clients a supportive, judgment-free space where they can make their own choices, take ownership of them, and build a path forward that works within the realities of their lives.

David Nadel

Brooke is a Licensed Addiction Counselor and Master of Social Work student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she is pursuing a concentration in clinical practice and a certificate in trauma treatment. She expects to graduate in 2027. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts.

Before becoming a counselor, Brooke spent five years in the U.S. Marine Corps and later worked in other first-responder and helping-profession roles, isuch as working with teens in foster care. These experiences put her face-to-face with trauma and crisis long before she ever sat across from a client. They also shaped her understanding of how a person's surroundings can influence what they experience and how they respond to difficult circumstances. Those years taught her how much it matters to have someone in your corner during lifes most challenging moments.

Her approach is grounded in the belief that meaningful change requires both autonomy and accountability. She believes clients deserve a voice in their treatment and the freedom to make their own choices, while also being supported in taking responsibility for those choices. She takes a person-in-environment perspective, recognizing that recovery does not happen in isolation and that relationships and circumstances can play an important role in the process.

Her goal is to create a space where clients feel supported without feeling judged, while also being encouraged to take ownership of the changes they want to make. She believes lasting change comes from within, not from someone else's checklist, and that her role is to support clients in finding a path forward.
