GRIEF COUNSELING

What is Grief Counseling?

Grief is a natural emotional response to loss, often involving feelings of sadness, anger, confusion, or emptiness. In therapy, grief is treated by providing a safe, supportive space where individuals can express their emotions, process the meaning of the loss, and gradually adjust to life without the person or thing they lost. Therapists may use approaches like talk therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or grief-specific models to help clients cope and find healing over time.

Who is Grief Counseling For?

Whether you or a loved one is struggling with addiction, we know how destructive and hopeless this can be. We have years of experience working with individuals, families and couples desiring a more happy and joyous life, free from the turmoil and chaos caused by addiction. As a family member of an addict or alcoholic, it can be difficult to navigate the difference between “helping” and “enabling”, and what it means to really “love” your loved one. We know addicts and alcoholics really mean it when they say they are done, yet so many find themselves once again trapped in the vicious cycle of addiction. This is not a road to be walked alone.
